Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Rustic Canyon, Individual Flighted — Emilio Mora is the tournament director. Cost is $100. First tee time is 11:00am. Two sets of tees will be used. Cut-off for signing up is June 27.

Sunday, July 19 the tournament is going to be a “Five-Club Tournament”. The rule is: you are allowed only five clubs to use, one must be a putter. This is an Individual Flighted event. Leo Gravelle is the tournament director. Cost is $55. Cut-off for signing up is July 10.

It appears John Van Diepen holds the distinction of having the last two Aces for the club. On Monday, June 1. 17th hole at Simi Hills. Hole played 185 yards. John used a Cobra 4 Hybrid to complete the feat. John likes hybrids.

| Friday, October 24, 2008 at Tierra Rejada, John Van Diepen Aced hole #11. A gps device figured it at 205 yards to the pin. Into a stiff breeze, John nailed his 5 hybrid into the green. After a couple of hops, the ball disappeared into the hole. 150,000 to one shot. Could it have been a short 205 yards? Congratulations John, this was John's second hole in one. The other coming at Sunset Hills Country Club. |
Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the La Purisima tournament, Gene Vano ACED the difficult hole #3. Playing approximately 126 yards Gene’s ball found the hole. Gene's choice of clubs was a pitching wedge. Nobody saw the ball go into the hole. There was a glare on the green from the morning sun. Gene’s very first Hole In One! Congratulations on a superb shot!
